Migraine Series

Anyone who has experienced a migraine headache knows the meaning of extreme physical pain and how debilitating it can be. Some people visualize “auras” or are very sensitive to light or to sound. There is no better feeling than when the migraine “lifts” allowing a return to the normal world. Fortunately many people can now be treated with medication that ameliorates or prevents the onset of migraine. Even so, occasionally one slips through my medical filter and I am reminded too realistically of the power of migraine. These drawings are recollections of or drawn during migraine episodes. Some incorporate diagnostic imaging data.
