Rábida island, Galápagos

Rábida is at the geographic center of the Galapagos Islands and is unforgettable for its beautiful red sand beach. The red sand appearance is due to iron oxide in the sand grains. White-cheeked pintail ducks and Greater flamingos share a lagoon in a protected area. Ubiquitous sea lions napped on the beach and a brown noddy did its best to grab a snack from a pelican.
