North Seymour Island’s official name is Seymour Norte and it proved a wonderful location for viewing nesting Frigatebirds, Blue-footed Boobies, and Swallow-tailed gulls. It is one of the few Galapagos islands that retains its English name. The inflated red pouch of the male Frigatebird along with wing flapping wings and calling provides a powerful mating display for females.
